Got in a last minute session with Ryan to prep for my Boston Marathon and deal with my neck and shoulder issues. He was patient and proactively reached out to have a pre-session just to nail down on areas of focus for the session. After a few exercises I immediately felt better. He also followed up and encouraged me to continue with the exercises so I could get to the starting line of the marathon. Not only I was able to start, I completed it and earned my Six Stars too! All thanks to Ryan!
I started working with Adam B. back in January to treat some lower back pain I was having and to conduct some preventative mobility work given prior injuries. In three short months, I've already seen a marked improvement in my physical health that has allowed me to throw myself back in to my daily activities. Adam is thoughtful in the routines he puts together and helpful in explaining the 'why' behind all that we're doing together. I'd highly recommend the Sustained Fitness team - for their thoughtfulness, professionalism, and customer service.
I've been working with Kyle for only 3 months, however, my training experience has been by far the best one I've had in 20+ yrs. of working with personal trainers. Ryan, Adam and Kyle are physical therapists by training, which I believe is an invaluable asset in understanding the individual needs, limitations and goals of their clients. I appreciate the positive and motivating approach and would highly recommend working with them!
Adam has brought me back from being in the worst shape of my life to being squarely on the road to the best I can be at 64. Part of the challenge has been to work around existing orthopedic issues, which Adam has done deftly. I highly recommend Sustained Fitness. The sessions have improved my fitness level, and general sense of well being.
I found Sustained Fitness when looking for physical therapy for an injury I got while bicycling. I received personalized treatment that supported my recovery and allowed me to get back to the activities I enjoy. My experience is that the trainers do an excellent job of asking questions, listening, and then aligning exercises with my needs. As I healed I transitioned from therapy to training with goals of strengthening my body and reducing future injuries. Working with a trainer gives me confidence in my exercise program and provides me with continuous feedback that allows me to do my best. As a result of working with a Sustained Fitness trainer my strength and flexibility has improved, I feel better about myself, and I feel more confident in my other activities.
As an avid and long-time distance runner, I've had my share of injuries. But recently they've been piling up, and my running coach advised me to work seriously on leg strengthening as a preventative measure. He interviewed several coaches and hands down said I should go with Sustained Fitness. And, having trained with them for several months now (Kyle in particular), I couldn't agree more. They have provided me with a thoughtful and customized performance-based strength plan, they tweak and adjust the plan to suit my needs, they are extremely knowledgeable, and just plain fun to work with. Most importantly for me, they are PT's as well, so they understand risk and how far they can safely push me. No doubt I have progressed more quickly as a result, and I've always felt they knew where to draw the line. And, for those with challenging schedules, the trainers work interchangeably so there's always someone free to accommodate your schedule. I recommend them without reservation.
Ryan and Adam are terrific. I trained with Ryan regularly for 4 years. He helped me gain a lot of strength at my pace. The atmosphere he and Adam have created at SF is really positive. I always looked forward to training, regardless of how hard I ended up working
I’ve been training with the Sustained Fitness team for 5+ years and over that period have had an opportunity to work with all 3 of their physical therapists; Ryan, Adam and Kyle. They are ALL great to work with, very knowledgable & personable, and foster a welcoming and friendly environment. I always look forward to my workouts there! They have helped me through lower back pain, neck pain, and the general aches and pains that come with sitting at a desk 50-80 hours a week. What I appreciate the most is how they tailor my workout to address my specific goals. Over the years, I’ve worked with Ryan the most and he is always really good about providing alternatives in the moment to accommodate how my body or mind is feeling that day. Ryan also gives me combinations of exercises to encourage me to be active when I’m not at the studio. In addition he consistently checks in on my overall wellness (activity, hydration, diet, sleep, and stress levels) and will provide reminders or helpful tips for getting back on track. I would highly recommend the experts at Sustained Fitness!

Great experience !! I wanted to get in shape for my daughter’s wedding , great results !!. I love the fact that they are so knowledgeable, not only are they personal trainers but also physical therapist . They are gentle but effective and in tune with what I needed to get in shape .
